Softball Recap: Danbury Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Canaan, Danbury was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Trumbull Eagles by a score of 10-7. While the Hatters didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Danbury got a massive performance out of T'Aira Walters, who fired off two home runs, seven RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. Those seven RBI gave Walters a new career-high. Sophie O'Connell also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Danbury's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Trumbull, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Danbury is taking a road trip to square off against Ludlowe at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Trumbull, they will be playing at home against Notre Dame Prep at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
