Basketball Recap: Akron Gets the Win

Medina typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Akron proved too difficult a challenge. They managed a 64-58 win over the Mustangs. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won eight in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Medina lost, don't look at Preston Woodworth. Despite the final result, he posted 15 points and three blocks. Woodworth's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Carlos Doval was another key player, putting up nine points.

Akron's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Medina, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-5.
