Softball Recap: Aquinas Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Aquinas won the last time they faced Woodcrest Christian and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Falcons put the hurt on the Royals with a sharp 13-3 victory. Considering the Falcons have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Savanna Estrada was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 5-for-5. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zoey Galindo, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Aquinas was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. They are 11-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Aquinas has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Woodcrest Christian, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Aquinas has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Arrowhead Christian on the 24th. As for Woodcrest Christian, they will square off against Ontario Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Royals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
