Basketball Recap: Chatham HomeSchool Takes a Loss

Chatham HomeSchool played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the South Wake Sabres and fell 61-28. The Thunder haven't had much luck with the Sabres recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Rebekah Hartzell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Wake, going 9 of 17 en route to 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Hartzell's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Taylor, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Chatham HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for South Wake, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Chatham HomeSchool will venture away from home to face off against New Life Camp at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Wake, they will host Freedom Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Freedom Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4 points per game this season.
