Baseball Recap: West Port Victorious

West Port's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Dixie County Bears.

West Port got a great performance from Kaiden Lavery as he tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, West Port's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Ricardo Soto, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

West Port's record is now 3-13. As for Dixie County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

West Port will face off against Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dixie County, they have already played their next match, a 13-4 defeat against Branford on the 20th.
