Volleyball Game Preview: Phillips Loggers vs. Prentice Buccaneers

The Phillips Loggers will be taking part in a tournament against the Prentice Buccaneers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Phillips turned things around against Athens on Tuesday. They blew past the Bluejays 3-0. The match marked the Loggers' most dominant win of the season.

While Phillips might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Athens scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Prentice narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Antigo 2-1.

Prentice found their leader in sophomore Piper Heikkinen, who had 16 digs and one assist.

Prentice's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Phillips, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-13.
