Baseball Game Preview: Strongsville Mustangs vs. Archbishop Hoban Knights

The Strongsville Mustangs will square off against the Archbishop Hoban Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Strongsville 3, Archbishop Hoban 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Tuesday, Strongsville came up short against Brunswick and fell 9-6.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Archbishop Hoban). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Garfield a 21-0 shutout on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Knights with their most commanding win of the season.

Archbishop Hoban has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Strongsville, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10-1.
