Football Game Preview: Tellico Plains Bears vs. Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals

The Tellico Plains Bears will face off against the Eagleton College & Career Academy Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tellico Plains' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so Eagleton College & Career Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, Tellico Plains came up short against Oneida and fell 24-14. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Tellico Plains got top-tier performance from Nathaniel Bivens, who rushed for 81 yards and two scores. Ike Hollinghead helped out on the ground, rushing for 83 yards.

Meanwhile, Eagleton College & Career Academy waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Cherokees by a score of 27-20.

Eagleton College & Career Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Tellico Plains, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Tellico Plains was able to grind out a solid win over Eagleton College & Career Academy when the teams last played back in August of 2024, winning 22-14. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Royals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
