Softball Game Preview: Breckinridge County Fighting Tigers vs. Hancock County Hornets

For the second straight game, Breckinridge County will face off against Hancock County. The Fighting Tigers will welcome the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Breckinridge County fell victim to Hancock County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 10-0. The Fighting Tigers haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

For Hancock County's part, Audrey Carnes was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI Carnes has posted since back in March. Baylee Estes was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two RBI.

Hancock County's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Breckinridge County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.
