Football Recap: Cresskill Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Cresskill was not quite Secaucus's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 10-7. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Jake Lewin threw for 123 yards on ten of 17 attempts. Joey Connelly was his top target, picking up 59 receiving yards. On the ground, Max Reiner rushed for 27 yards.

Cresskill has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Secaucus, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Cresskill will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Dwight Morrow at 6:00 p.m. Secaucus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
