Football Recap: Julian Villanueva's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sunnyside over Eastmont + How To Watch

Sunnyside extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They fell 35-28 to the Eastmont Wildcats. The Grizzlies gained 133 more yards on the day, but it was the Wildcats that made the best use of them.

Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julian Villanueva, who threw for 384 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. Dominic Salinas was Villanueva's top target, picking up 113 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

As for Eastmont, they now have a winning record of 2-1. They haven't had any issues with Sunnyside recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Eastmont got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Austin Zelinski out in front who rushed for 121 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Ethan Akpodiete was another key player, rushing for 90 yards and one TD.
