Softball Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

Elverado hit Shawnee with a four-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Redskins lost 10-0 to the Falcons. If the Redskins were looking for revenge after losing 14-4 to the Falcons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Shawnee has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Elverado, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Shawnee will face off against Scott City at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Redskins are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Elverado, they will square off against Waltonville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
