Football Recap: Peru Takes a Loss

Peru fell victim to Rochester and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Zebras 50-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 36-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rochester to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trenton Meadows, who picked up 74 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 54 yards and one score on only five carries. Brant Beck helped out on the ground, rushing for 118 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Peru's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Rochester, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Peru is set to challenge their familiar foe Southwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Rochester will take on rival Northfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
