Basketball Recap: Claysburg-Kimmel Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Claysburg-Kimmel, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Northern Bedford County Panthers on Tuesday, sneaking past 44-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wesley Horsh, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. That's the most boards Horsh has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Nathan Eckenroad, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Claysburg-Kimmel's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-8. As for Northern Bedford County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Claysburg-Kimmel and Williamsburg will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for Northern Bedford County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fannett Metal at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
