Soccer Recap: Newaygo Comes Up Short

Newaygo entered their match against Fremont on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lions lost 8-0 to the Packers. If Newaygo were looking for revenge after losing 8-0 to Fremont when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Newaygo's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 0-1-3 and their overall record down to 2-2-4. As for Fremont, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0-1.

Looking ahead, Newaygo will square off against Big Rapids at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fremont, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Grant on the 6th.
