Alexandria has gone 8-2 against Ouachita Parish recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Alexandria will look to defend their home field against Ouachita Parish at 5:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Alexandria barely beat Ruston the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Alexandria was the clear victor by a 14-2 margin over Ruston on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Trojans, who have now won four contests in a row.
Lauren Bonnette spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Mary Claire Brinkman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anniston Fairbanks, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Alexandria was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ruston only posted a batting average of .250.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ouachita Parish, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Neville 12-1 on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.
The team relied heavily on Rheagan Montgomery, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Taylor Madison was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
Alexandria pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Ouachita Parish, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-9.
Alexandria was able to grind out a solid victory over Ouachita Parish when the teams last played on March 13th, winning 6-3. Does Alexandria have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ouachita Parish turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
