Softball Recap: Burbank Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Burbank and Valley meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Titans lost 24-10 to the Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 40-32 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Burbank's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Valley, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 2-9 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Burbank will venture away from home to challenge West Campus at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Valley, they will head out to square off against Johnson at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
