Softball Recap: Colleyville Heritage Panthers vs. Richland Royals
Colleyville Heritage's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Richland Royals by a score of 9-6. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Sammie Pham made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Colleyville Heritage let Karsyn M and Myka Riley run wild. M went 1-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Riley scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That triple marked the first that M hit this season.
