Soccer Recap: Hillcrest Falls Short Against Ranked Mauldin

Hillcrest faced Mauldin in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Rams fell 2-0 to the Mavericks. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Hillcrest's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hillcrest's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for Mauldin, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
