Softball Recap: West Seattle Takes a Loss

West Seattle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-2 to the Garfield Bulldogs. If West Seattle was looking for revenge after losing 15-7 to Garfield when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kaila Ignacio was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

West Seattle's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Garfield, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Seattle will welcome Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Garfield, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ballard at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
