Basketball Recap: ROWVA/Williamsfield Takes a Loss

After soaring to 55 points the game before, ROWVA/Williamsfield was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They had to suffer through a 76-27 loss at the hands of the Peoria Christian Chargers. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 657th, while the Chargers are ranked 285th).

ROWVA/Williamsfield is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10. As for Peoria Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars challenge the Delavan Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peoria Christian, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Illini Bluffs at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. One thing working in Peoria Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
