Basketball Game Preview: Chiefland Indians vs. Citrus Hurricanes

The Chiefland Indians and the Citrus Hurricanes will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Chiefland is headed into the match after thoroughly thrashing Dixie County: they outscored them in every quarter. Chiefland enjoyed a cozy 61-43 win over Dixie County on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Meanwhile, Citrus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 72-71 heartbreaker at the hands of Weeki Wachee.

Chiefland's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Citrus, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.

Everything came up roses for Chiefland against Citrus in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 69-25 win. Does Chiefland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Citrus turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
