Volleyball Recap: Kingsway Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Kingsway Christian waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the High Point Christian Academy Huskies with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Huskies back in August, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

While Kingsway Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-22, 25-20.

Kristen Lilley was the offensive standout of the game as she had seven aces and five digs. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high. Norah Terrigan also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Kingsway Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for High Point Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Kingsway Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against First Baptist Christian on the 18th. As for High Point Christian Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Reimer Road Baptist Christian at 6:30 p.m. on October 10.
