Basketball Recap: Giles County Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

On Thursday, the Giles County Bobcats beat the Riverdale Warriors 36-27. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Warriors are ranked 212th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Riverdale had strong showings from Abby Dennis, who posted nine points and six boards, and Madison Taylor, who put up six points.

Giles County's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. As for Riverdale, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Giles County Bobcats take on the Lawrence County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverdale, they will challenge Siegel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
