Fort Cherry waltzed into their match  on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with  a   7-3  victory over the McKeesport Tigers.
 Colton Temple was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out six batters over  3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Landon Trnavsky, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Ben Demascal, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
Fort Cherry pushed their record up to 7-4 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for McKeesport,  they are  on  a  12-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 0-12.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Cherry will venture away from home to  square off against Chartiers-Houston  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Rangers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buccaneers have averaged an impressive 6.2  runs per game this season. As for McKeesport, they are taking a road trip to  take on Montour  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
