Softball Recap: Christian Liberty Chargers vs. St. Edward Green Wave
Christian Liberty kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the St. Edward Green Wave, falling 13-3. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.
Christian Liberty saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mikayla Stack, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Sophia Randesi was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
St. Edward's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3.
Looking ahead, Christian Liberty will square off against Alden-Hebron at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Edward, they will face off against Genoa-Kingston at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.57 runs per game on average), something the Green Wave will no doubt try to take advantage of.
