Football Recap: Paris Piles Up the Points Against Braymer

Paris won against Orrick last Friday with 52 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Coyotes blew past the Braymer Bobcats 52-20. The Coyotes' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Paris' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Ensor led the charge by throwing for 198 yards and five touchdowns. Ensor has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last seven times he's played. Sawyer Clements helped Ensor out on the ground, rushing for 56 yards and one TD on only seven carries, while also picking up 50 receiving yards and one score.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Paris' defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jackson Rudderforth, Case Morgan, and Gabe Rowe, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Braymer's side was Payden Crain, who forced one fumble, made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss), and defended three passes.

Paris' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Braymer, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paris will square off against Northland Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Braymer, they will take on St. Paul Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
