Soccer Recap: Hidden Valley Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Hidden Valley after they claimed the first goal on Friday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell 3-1 to the Salem Spartans. One thing that didn't help Hidden Valley's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Chance Ison.

Hidden Valley's goal came courtesy of Patrick Doyle, which was the first he's scored this season.

Hidden Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Salem, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Hidden Valley will square off against Patrick Henry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Patrick Henry's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Hidden Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Salem, they will welcome Christiansburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
