Basketball Game Preview: Bessemer City Yellow Jackets vs. West Lincoln Rebels + How To Watch

The Bessemer City Yellow Jackets will square off against the West Lincoln Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Bessemer City was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-42 to Lincolnton. That's two games in a row now that the Yellow Jackets have lost by exactly five points.

Despite the defeat, Bessemer City saw an underclassman step up: freshman Saniyah Moore went 12-for-30 to rack up 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season. Kynndal Thompson also deserves some recognition as she scored her first point of the season.

Meanwhile, West Lincoln came up short against Patton on Thursday and fell 47-35.

Bessemer City's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2. As for West Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.
