Baseball Game Preview: William Penn Bearcats vs. Red Lion Lions

William Penn hasn't had much luck against Red Lion recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bearcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Lions at 4:00 p.m. William Penn has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for William Penn's offense. They came up short against Central York on Monday, falling 12-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Bearcats were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Red Lion came up short against Spring Grove on Monday and fell 6-3.

Bennett De Los Santos made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Pamepinto, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

William Penn's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Red Lion, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

William Penn might still be hurting after the 17-2 defeat they got from Red Lion when the teams last played back in March. Can the Bearcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
