Baseball Game Preview: Swansboro Pirates vs. North Brunswick Scorpions

The Swansboro Pirates will face off against the North Brunswick Scorpions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Swansboro lost 10-1 to Ashley on Tuesday.

Swansboro saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kevin Till, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, North Brunswick had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with an 11-6 win over the Bears.

Jonah Campbell and Fisher Goodwin did most of the damage at the plate: Campbell scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Goodwin went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Ryan Grisso was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

North Brunswick was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gray's Creek only posted a batting average of .208.

North Brunswick pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Swansboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
