Softball Recap: Houston Tigers vs. Plato Eagles
After a string of seven wins, Houston's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Plato Eagles by a score of 6-5.
Ashley Gilbert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Katy Evans, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.
Houston's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4. As for Plato, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.
