Johnston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cranston West Falcons. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Johnston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cranston West, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Johnston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-54 loss against East Greenwich on the 28th. As for Cranston West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-44 win against Cranston East on the 28th.
