Del Valle came into Friday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They breezed by the Akins Eagles to the tune of 46-15 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cardinals needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.
Del Valle wouldn't let Akins keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force four fumbles. Del Valle can thank Jeremiah Robinson and Carlos Salazar for forcing all of them. Robinson also set a new season high mark in total tackles with 13.
Del Valle's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Akins, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.
