Baseball Recap: Stillwater Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mechanicville, Stillwater was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Schuylerville Horses by a score of 5-0. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 6-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Colden McDonagh, who went 3-for-4 with two runs. Stillwater is 3-1 when McDonagh posts three or more hits, but 3-10 otherwise.

Stillwater's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Schuylerville, they dropped their record down to 10-9-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Stillwater does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Schuylerville, they will head out on the road to challenge Fort Ann at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Horses are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
