Preview: Southern Trojans vs. Bullitt Central Cougars
Southern and Bullitt Central are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. Both teams will face off at 7:15 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bullitt Central took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Southern, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Southern slipped by Waggener 52-51. The win was just what Southern needed coming off of a 88-64 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Bullitt Central's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 91-68 loss at the hands of Beth Haven. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (65), Bullitt Central still had to take the loss.
Southern's victory bumped their record up to 6-18. As for Bullitt Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
Southern beat Bullitt Central 68-55 in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Does Southern have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bullitt Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
