Softball Game Preview: Sterling Heights Stevenson Titans vs. Utica Chieftains

The Sterling Heights Stevenson Titans will venture away from home to square off against the Utica Chieftains at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sterling Heights Stevenson comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Sterling Heights Stevenson lost 13-3 to Fraser on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Utica was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to L'Anse Creuse North.

Utica saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rachel Durecki, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Utica's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Sterling Heights Stevenson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-19.

Sterling Heights Stevenson couldn't quite get it done against Utica in their previous meeting two weeks ago as they fell 4-1. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
