There's no place like home for Hardee, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Manatee Hurricanes on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Jodi Salas looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Kirstyn Faulkner was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Yareli Duarte, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Hardee hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-8. As for Manatee, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Hardee and Manatee could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Hardee will take on Fort Meade at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 203 places (346 vs. 143). Meanwhile, Manatee (ranked 290th) will meet Riverview Sarasota (ranked 15th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
