Baseball Game Preview: Polytechnic Panthers vs. Eagle Rock Eagles

The Polytechnic Panthers will challenge the Eagle Rock Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Polytechnic is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Polytechnic saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 5-2 to Arroyo Valley. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Polytechnic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Chui, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Eagle Rock didn't have quite enough to beat Marquez on Monday and fell 5-4.

Jake Sugi was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Sugi was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Louis Torres made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Enrique Camberos was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Eagle Rock's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Polytechnic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
