Soccer Recap: Armstrong Comes Up Short

Armstrong was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kiski Area Cavaliers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Kiski Area this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

Armstrong's goal came courtesy of Aiden Schaeffer, who's now up to five this season.

Armstrong's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Kiski Area, they moved to 4-14 with that win, which also ended their eight-match losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Armstrong is set to take on their familiar foe Indiana at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kiski Area will square off against rival Obama Academy of International Studies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
