Baseball Game Preview: York Dukes vs. Norris Titans

The York Dukes will face off against the Norris Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. York is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

York will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Bryan on Monday. The Dukes blew past the Bears 18-3. The Dukes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Carsen Pieper, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for York: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-6 otherwise. York's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Norris, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.

Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. York has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444.
