Volleyball Recap: Kerr-Vance Academy Comes Up Short

Kerr-Vance Academy lost against Ridgecroft back in October of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans came up short against the Rams, falling 3-0. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-16.

Lyla Richardson paced Kerr-Vance Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Richardson got some help from Emma Caudle and her six assists. Richardson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Kerr-Vance Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ridgecroft, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kerr-Vance Academy will take on rival Albemarle School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ridgecroft is set to face off against their familiar foe Lawrence Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
