Wren had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cuthbertson Cavaliers.

Tessa Beal paced Wren's offense, picking up 13 kills. Beal got some help from Emma Garrison and her 24 assists.

Despite the loss, Cuthbertson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Shannon Kim had nine digs and two assists.

Wren's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Cuthbertson, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-1.

Wren has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Kings Mountain on the 16th. As for Cuthbertson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Hopewell on the 18th.
