Recap: Pro-Vision Academy Warriors vs. Cristo Rey Jesuit Lions
While the Pro-Vision Academy Warriors couldn't quite beat the Cristo Rey Jesuit Lions on Friday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 25-point defeat they were dealt back in December of 2023. Pro-Vision Academy fell just short of Cristo Rey Jesuit by a score of 39-36. Pro-Vision Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cristo Rey Jesuit apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Zakiya Umstead continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cristo Rey Jesuit, scoring 23 points. Carmen Neria was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Pro-Vision Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pro-Vision Academy will take on Harmony School of Innovation at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bob Hope at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
