Soccer Recap: Caney Creek Takes a Loss

Caney Creek lost against Oak Ridge back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Caney Creek Panthers came up short against the Oak Ridge War Eagles, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while the War Eagles are ranked 70th).

Caney Creek has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-1 record this season. As for Oak Ridge, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Caney Creek will face off against Grand Oaks at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Oak Ridge, they will be playing at home against The Woodlands at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Woodlands will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Oak Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
