The Falcon Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Green Mountain Rams at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Falcon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
Falcon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-51 victory over Montrose.

 Tyler Cox

| 03/05/25 vs Mountain View | 45% |

Tyler Cox was his usual excellent self, shooting 60% from the field en route to 14 points and five boards. He is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Christian Bertholf was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.
Falcon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Green Mountain entered their tilt with Sand Creek on Friday with seven consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with eight. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-40 win over the Scorpions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since January 8th.
Falcon better focus on containing Simon Lunsford and Sam Mielenz as the pair were huge in Green Mountain's win. Lunsford dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards, while Mielenz went 5-for-11 on his way to 17 points. Those 11 rebounds gave Lunsford a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ben Swanson, who posted four points along with six boards and three steals.
Falcon has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Green Mountain's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Falcon and Green Mountain are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Falcon hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 65 points per game. However, it's not like Green Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging 60.9 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Falcon ended up a good deal behind Green Mountain in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, losing 80-61. Thankfully for Falcon, Austin Beeson (who shot 63% from the field to rack up 24 points in addition to five assists and four steals) won't be suiting up this time.
