Volleyball Game Preview: Lakewood Lancers vs. Jordan Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Lakewood Lancers and the Jordan Panthers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Lakewood is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Lakewood lost 3-0 to Long Beach Poly last Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Jordan came up short against Millikan last Tuesday and fell 3-1.

While Jordan ultimately came up short, they really made Millikan work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-22, 26-24.

Lakewood's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Jordan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Lakewood skirted past Jordan 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lancers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
