Basketball Recap: Quapaw Comes Up Short

Quapaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Afton Eagles. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 36-31.

Afton found their leader in sophomore Aiden Victor, who posted 21 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Blake Ford was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Quapaw's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Afton, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-12.

Quapaw is taking a road trip to square off against Welch at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Afton, they will face off against Wyandotte at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th.
