Basketball Game Preview: Huron River Rats vs. University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs

The Huron River Rats will venture away from home to face off against the University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Huron sitting on seven straight wins and University of Detroit Jesuit on 14.

Last Friday, Huron blew past Monroe, posting a 73-36 victory. The River Rats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, University of Detroit Jesuit beat Skyline 77-64 on Monday. Given the Cubs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Eagles are ranked 80th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Huron's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 27.2 points. As for University of Detroit Jesuit, their victory bumped their record up to 14-0.
