Baseball Game Preview: Buena Park Coyotes vs. Costa Mesa Mustangs

The Buena Park Coyotes are taking a road trip to take on the Costa Mesa Mustangs at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Buena Park is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Friday just wasn't the day for Buena Park's offense. They fell just short of Katella by a score of 2-0 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Coyotes have suffered since March 8th.

Alex Blancas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Costa Mesa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They skirted past Covina 8-7.

Costa Mesa has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Buena Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-15.
